A Virtual Night of Comedy & Fundraising
Cancer Support Community Central Indiana will host a virtual version of its Laughing Matters fundraiser on Saturday, April 25th at 7:25pm (EST). Their wildly popular, annual live event version of Laughing Matters is not happening in its regular form in 2020 due to COVID-19.
For the April 25th virtual event, viewers will enjoy Dave Dugan, one of Indy’s most beloved comedians, performing stand-up comedy. Those tuning in will also be given the opportunity to learn more about Cancer Support Community’s 25 years of helping to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
This will be a family-friendly virtual event and safe for all ages. People will have multiple options to watch and enjoy the virtual experience including the following:
- WTHR-NBC’s (Channel 13) website, via their mobile app or on their Facebook page (www.wthr.com, https://www.facebook.com/WTHR13/)
- 92.3 WTTS’ Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/WTTSFM/)
- Cancer Support Community Central Indiana’s website and Facebook page (https://cancersupportindy.org/about-us/events/laughing-matters/, https://www.facebook.com/events/833435447157148/)
Laughing Matters is celebrating 20 years in 2020 and typically hosts a live in-person comedy event. Over the years they have hosted the biggest names in comedy including Kevin Hart, Joan Rivers, Seth Meyers, Jay Leno, Whoopi Goldberg, Nick Offerman and were prepared to welcome Martin Short for the 2020 event prior to it having to be canceled. Laughing Matters will return in 2021 to Old National Centre on Saturday, April 17th, 2021 and a headliner will be announced at a later time.
