Social Connectedness
Cancer Support Community’s comprehensive program is built around five pillars – psychosocial support, education, wellness, information, assistance & referral and – social connectedness. Social connections and feelings of connectedness have been shown to improve one’s quality of life when going through cancer. Social Connectedness programming aims to reduce feelings of aloneness and depression and instill feelings of empowerment and hope. The opportunity to engage in social and fun activities without having to necessarily discuss cancer has been deemed vitally important to many of our participants.
All of our social connectedness programs – like all of our programs – are free of charge. Please review our calendar for more details or call 317-257-1505.
