Last fall, we shared the inspiring story of Aria, who created Smile Big—a small but powerful way to bring joy to her mom, Lyndsey, during her cancer journey. What started with handmade bookmarks, keychains, and bracelets quickly grew into a heartfelt effort to give back to Cancer Support Community South Central Indiana, raising $680 at the Bloomington Apple Festival.
We’re excited to share that Aria’s impact hasn’t stopped there.
Earlier this year, Aria was invited to speak at Bloomfield’s annual Cancer Awareness Night basketball game. In front of a packed crowd, she shared the story behind Smile Big and highlighted the support CSC provides to individuals and families facing cancer. Inspired by her courage and compassion, the community came together—“passing the hat” during the game—and raised an additional $811.13 to support CSC programs.
Aria’s kindness, creativity, and determination continue to make a meaningful difference. We are so grateful to Aria and Lyndsey for being incredible ambassadors for CSC and for helping us ensure that no one in our community faces cancer alone.
